Joan of Arc - He's Got the Whole This Land Is Your Land in His Hands

Honestly, after reading some of these reviews, I thought this was going to be un-listenable. Aside from the bizarro lyrics and off-kilter instrumentation, its not really as inaccessible as I expected.

Evans The Death - Vanilla

Not as strong as their prior releases, but there are some pretty good tracks. Cable Street Blues is amazing.

MammĂșt - River's End

This band is fantastic in their native language. This is some of their tracks overdubbed with English lyrics. Good, but I prefer their Icelandic material.

Evans The Death - Expect Delays

One of my favorite albums of 2015. Seven of the first eight tracks are just phenomenal and it doesn't really lose steam. The music strikes the right balance of simplicity and complexity for my tastes.

Waxahatchee - Ivy Tripp

I enjoy this album when I listen to it, but none of the songs really stick with me afterwards. There's not a "bad" song on this album, but there's nothing that I'd consider "great" either.... just a lot of "good" tunes. If I had to pick, Breathless and Summer Of Love are probably my favorite tracks.

Shearwater - Jet Plane and Oxbow

If you like Pink Floyd's Division Bell, this reminds me of a slightly edgier continuation of that sound without the guitar solos. Something about it keeps me coming back, though. Radio Silence and Filaments are my picks.
