Decent B-sides. Kind of mediocre for Tame Impala standards, as was The Slow Rush as a whole.
It’s alright. Very inoffensive alt rock that’s pretty bland. Anthony still writing the same melody since stadium. John Frusciante’s guitar tone is enjoyable though.

Grown Ocean is a perfect song.
I really enjoy Crumb’s music, but this album seems to lean on presenting more of a general vibe rather than showcasing the stellar songwriting that I’m used to from this band. I think the songwriting is what falls off for this album, specifically with the vocal melodies, but with that said I’m still enjoying it quite a bit and recommend for any fans of the psych pop genre.
Also, as per usual, Jonathan Gilad is fucking killing it on the drums.

High quality leak sounds fantastic. I usually start my score high and decrease it with time.
Edit:
2 years later and this sadly turned out to be a low point in the discography. A lot of emphasis on production choices and mixing, and even more lacking in the songwriting department. A few highlights but The Slow Rush is wildly hit or miss with the track list.
