Maggie Lindemann - i feel everything

Very LA model makes an album. Surprising considering how good her last albums were.

Kim Petras - I Like Ur Look

Haven’t enjoyed the other singles as much, but I must say…a couple years ago I was telling people that she needed to drop dr Luke and get some other tgirls in the studio with her and THANK. FUCKING. GOD. she did just that. And this? This is like everything the first singles era was supposed to be. Hopefully the album hits just as hard.

Daya - Til Every Petal Drops

I think we found where the good pop albums go to hide away 👀

Taylor Swift - The Life of a Showgirl

Truly unlistenable. Much more than TTPD. Me and the bestie were laughing our asses off at the lyrics. Also to bring back Shellback and Max Martin only to have them do nothing they’re good at is crazyyyyy!!! Not a single catchy melody or lyric. Bad prod, bad vocals, bad writing, she’s really outdone herself.

Zara Larsson - Midnight Sun

Had me up until track 6 and then slowly lost me. Crush slaps.

Frost Children - SISTER

2 LØVE at the end was such a smart choice. Like driving home after a long night out.

Boards of Canada - Twoism

A customer of mine recommended I check out Boards of Canada and it's unfortunate it took me this long to get around to listening because I floated away to another world listening to this last night. It's hard to say what stands out about this project, aside from the fact that it's just good music (and sometimes that's all you need). This is one of those albums that I would only listen to cover-to-cover, and I will be doing that again.

The first 5 track run cannot be outdone. What a way to open an album. Definitely some choices made across some of the songs, yet nonetheless life changing. If this were a perfect album I don't think it would hit nearly as hard.

Ethel Cain - Willoughby Tucker, I'll Always Love You

Getting to Waco, Texas and having a flashback to poorly auditioning for American idol in Waco, Texas lmao

Ninajirachi - I Love My Computer

Bought this on Bandcamp so I could listen to it early in North America and you know it’s good because the iTunes visualizer made shapes I’ve never seen it make before. The production is insane, she gave us a new Daine song, and I teared up during Sing Good because wow. CSIRAC hits the brain right. I’m stunned, in awe, jfc this is great.

The Band CAMINO - NeverAlways

So upsetting that they can never seem to live up to tryhard. This followed the trend that I will continue to complain about which is every damn song on an album sounding the same. The writing even stayed similar over the course of this project. Can we please start experimenting???

Milk & Bone - Chrysalism

You wanna talk about underrated?! Every time I come back to this album I am once again blown away by how good it is. The production, vocals, and atmosphere all contained inside this album bleeds pop perfection. Incredible.

Lorde - Virgin

Oh what to say… listened through last night with low expectations and sure enough, it’s a let down. Cohesive ≠ Repetition. There are a million ways to make an album that sounds cohesive without making the most boring, copy and paste, soulless project. Record companies making these major pop girls turn out music made to be played in the background at a dying strip mall is NOT it.

Ninajirachi - iPod Touch

Wish it was longer omggg

MØ - Plæygirl

Stepped her pussy UP!

Bring Me The Horizon - DiE4u

Play this at my funeral.

Skrillex - F*CK U SKRILLEX YOU THINK UR ANDY WARHOL BUT UR NOT!! <3

A charcuterie board of his finest work. Truly has something for everyone, and the Summit sample hit like a punch in the gut. I’ve been craving an experience like this. Insane. <3

Lady Gaga - MAYHEM

How Bad Do U Want Me sounds like a Taylor Swift song in the worst way. Still some very good moments on here. Killah is the best by far.

Rebecca Black - SALVATION

Thank god it doesn’t sound how the cover looks.
