Grossly unforgivable. Death Toll incorporates a combination of low gutturals and screechy highs to express their dreadful attitude. The variety of vocals and thrash influence the longer songs give Harsh Realities real music direction in a genre where it is not necessary. At just over 25 minutes there is no room for downtime, Death Toll while having groovy sections also manages to incorporate quintessential blast/incomprehensible blasts that we all love from the genre. Fantastic DSBM. Consistent, melancholic and unsettling. Drowned In Misery has a strong open and even stronger ending.
If it weren't for the songs featuring Muscle Man from Regular Show this would be 100.
OH MY GAWWWD ITS LIKE SOMEONE PUT FIRE CRACKERS IN MY EARS AND NOW IM CRYING SO MUCH CRY I AM CRY
I have suffered a traumatic brain injury and now have an extremely strong desire to do heroin.
Short and compact. I appreciate the audio clips some of the tracks have like Yin. Scalp reminds me of NAILS with a more hardcore flare. Overall this LP is a good listen it just seems to leave a lot to be desired due to the short nature of the project. In grindcore short songs are a staple, but some of the tracks seem unfinished leaving the LP to feel rushed and lacking.
Great blend of viciousness and groove. The songs stretch slightly too long for my usual taste, although there is nearly zero down downtime so I never felt bored. As raw as fresh roadkill and as brutal as a 16th century executioner.
Still bleak and somber, but more hopeful sounding than Atna. The instrumentals are gloomy yet dreamy creating a vortex of bittersweet resonance. The way this artist fuses sorrowful and angelic noise is fascinating.
Very tranquil and soothing while also being exceedingly cathartic and depressing. Atna expresses so much agony in a beautiful way I can't help but appreciate. Many DSBM albums try to hard to provide a sorrowful sound. Sadness successfully personifies melancholy with the perfect blend of gut-wrenching vocals and gaze like instrumentals.
Would do 1000 hours of community service to get this on Spotify. (On Spotify now!)
