R.I.P. Kai Wesener
The instrumental work on here is some of the greatest I've heard. For a 17 year old, every climax on each song will send you to a different planet. My only real complaint is that the vocals are really quiet but other that, this is a really powerful project that almost made me cry a couple times. Strong emotional themes, minimal but powerful writing and earth-shattering instrumentals is what makes this EP. It is heart-breaking seeing where Kai (aka bl4ck m4rket c4rt) ... read more
Undeniable classic. Lyrically astonishing performances from both rappers on a hard-hitting sample.
Woah, what a step up from your previous works...
'Wait Up' by fellow AOTY user jbjohnston2011 feels a lot more organized and in line compared to his previous songs. Almost everything plays a part, the vocal chops work great, the drums are FANTASTIC, there are very few elements that could be taken out and it all makes for a more nice listen! Always looking forward to what you do next brother.
Let me start by saying I am NOT hopping on some Doechii hate train. I like her songs! This just didn't do it for me. Quite the poor performance over the original "Somebody I Used To Know" instrumental, it worked as the little bit in Sleepy Hallow's song (which overall that song wasn't the greatest either) but expanding that little bit into a proper song wasn't the right direction. I am excited as to what she does next though.
This album basically proves JPEGMAFIA is one of the most versatile artists of our current rap landscape. To be able to release 'Veteran' and do a complete 180 the next year, 'All My Heroes Are Cornballs' is a much more vulnerable, emotional listen than the last album while staying true to the experimental hip hop that JPEGMAFIA is known for.

In 2020, we got one of Carti's most important albums in terms of changing character. In 2025, we got his most bloated and rushed album to date.
Playboi Carti's highly anticipated album "MUSIC" has finally released in a 30 track package. Now, this usually means you're in for one long album, but this album just falls short of 1 hour and 15 minutes. In this hour, you will hear your average trap album: rambling about the same shit on a loud ass beat with the same drums on ... read more
I love Little Simz but I'm not feeling the greatest on this one... Still, very excited for the album
Yeah no, the pre-chorus and the chorus just isn't sitting right with me. The intro is good though.
dismissing this as another taylor swift copy song trying to hit the radio and the charts. seriously this may appeal to the numbers on the charts but i'm sick of this formula where you make a half-assed pop song and watch it explode because it's exactly what the radio wants. please end this soon.
