I always appreciate it when covers put a proper spin on the original, and aren't just a lazy recreation of the song!
I regret to inform you that this album is pretty ass. It's cheesy sounding, hollow, and borderline annoying. It salvages some dignity by cramming catchy choruses into as many tracks as it can, however they are all painfully similar and again, uncreative at best.
Given I was mostly familiar with Leoniden from some tracks from their earlier 2017 debut, I was expecting something a bit heavier and better developed, however this transition into a generic pop-rock group has not landed well ... read more
I actually quite enjoyed it - it's not spectacular but a decent attempt at a cover
I refuse to believe this is half·alive lol - it's a complete switch up from what I'd expect from them, but it's an incredibly solid track!
Painfully bleak. It suffers from some monotonicity across the whole album, but this doesn't detect too much from the listening experience at all.
Interesting ideas not executed in the way I imagine they were hoped to be. The result is an underwhelming, if intriguing, album
Really solid mixtape! I came across this by chance, and from the track I heard (U R MINE) I was really intrigued to hear more. Kaeto presents a really enjoyable blend of synths, funky bass, and some sweet drums to complement their vocals which whilst not anything special, are perfect for the feel of the music here. Overall, really promising!
It's decent, but man do I miss their original sound that they came through with, particularly what was found on Ghost City. This slides more towards a more poppy sound which I think detracts from their charm and what makes Delta Sleep Delta Sleep. This does shine through a bit more towards the end of the album, with Sunchaser being a real standout for me personally. Ultimately though, this is still a decent listen!
Absolutely stellar - the production is incredible and the concepts and sounds on display here are absolutely mesmerising! It maintains the classic TURQUOISEDEATH chaos, but also feels incredibly vulnerable and open especially through the middle section and onwards to the end. A brilliant listen and a notable step forward from the already solid 'Se Bueno'
Somehow, almost every remix here is worse than the original. In a way, that's pretty impressive!
There are some really impressive moments here, coupled with some captivating sounds that really make for a great listening experience. There are some moments, maybe even some tracks, that aren't all that engaging and do lose you though, which does hurt the album. Overall though, a solid release and a pretty enjoyable listen!
Some really really solid tracks here! The album does tail off quite significantly, leaving it with a front-loaded feel but overall it's an enjoyable listen from a promising group!
Pretty enjoyable, will probably re-listen after hearing the full original LP
It's fun! Not the most incredible piece of work, but its cheeky fun track after track, making it a fun listen!
Unfortunately, it's pretty bang average which is a real shame given the potential it had with all the included artists. It's jumbled, messy, and no tracks really stand out as that good at all.
It's as bland as an 'oatmeal cookie' would probably taste - some ok songs here but as an overall EP it's really not all that much
An incredible listening experience! It's a shame that it's such a nightmare to find, but it makes the payoff after finding it so much more rewarding!
