Unfortunately just really not for me, nothing here really worked at all
Solid! It didn't quite grab me the way her previous album did, but I still enjoyed my time listening to this :)
I can't decide if this is incredibly enjoyable, quirky, obnoxious, annoying, or all of the above
Outside of a few really solid tracks, Cutouts feels quite directionless and underwhelming on the whole. It certainly feels like it was rushed out and could have benefitted from longer in production. However, it's still a reasonably solid album that I'm sure quite a few will enjoy, especially fans of Yorke
I'll write this review like Chris wrote this album
La la la la la la la laaa la la la la la la laaa laaa laaa la la la
Really front heavy - the back half of the album is mediocre and forgettable at best - but the front half really carries it as it's so enjoyable
Bicurious go from showing some real promise of producing unique, impressive music to releasing an album of bland mediocrity. A shame as they have lost all their charm here
Really enjoyable and I found it more accessible than other metal albums I've explored in the past. The space elements do work for me, but I can definitely see how they can be quite polarising for others who listen to this album.
Beautifully smooth, and a joy to listen to. It's not the most impressive album, but still the vocals, production, and general feel of the album make it a really enjoyable listening experience :)
Whilst 'Crying, Laughing, Waving, Smiling' is a sweet enough listen, it is unfortunately entirely unremarkable and lacking in any memorable substance at all. It's a completely forgettable album, regardless of how nice it may sound.
As haunting as it is utterly mesmerising
BIG fan of this collaboration, it's diverse and energetic - and more importantly than anything it absolutely slaps
One of my favourite Triple J's so far this year
Absolutely works better live than in this mix, but man this band are just incredible
It really suffers from how long it is - it's borderline unfinishable with how monotonous and long-winded it ends up feeling past the halfway mark. The back half of the album isn't even that bad at all, it's just all so similar that you get so exhausted of the sound, and unfortunately the second half therefore bares the brunt of that. A shame, as there are some solid moments here, but as an overall album it just isn't a fun listening experience as a whole.
