Pure funky fun - this is a real bop of an album with some serious charm to it. It's honest and spirited, and whilst not perfect it makes for a really enjoyable listen. Check it out!
I've always struggled with Xiu Xiu, and this album is no exception. Whilst more accessible than some past works, I still can't find myself engaging with the album and find it underwhelming as a result. I can see how fans could appreciate this album, but it just isn't for me
A fun yet pretty hollow album, it's not bad by any means but feels severely lacking in any real substance
Another real easy, pleasurable listen by Kings of Convenience. It's not mind-blowing by any means, but a real nice listen!
Unfortunately it's a half step backwards for PREP -this feels hollow and incredibly generic
I enjoyed it! It's mostly ambient work with a bit of variety and some vocals sprinkled in, but the final track especially stood out to me as really enjoyable!
This is a really really solid album from the Delta Riggs! I've always known them to be a fun listen, and this album continues that fun vibe throughout! The only thing it lacks, strangely, is any desire for me to re-listen to it! I'm sure I will, but despite the tracks all being solid I just don't see myself coming back to the full album again!
A really solidly consistent album with some definite standout tracks that really catch your attention! More than anything though, it does a really good job at maintaining the Beaches sound throughout
I was hoping for more - it's not bad by any stretch, just underwhelming and honestly pretty generic
Pale Waves' most recent album is decent, but somehow manages to make 12 tracks all sound pretty damn similar - resulting in a pretty monotonous and repetitive sound throughout the album. It's not bad, but the lack of variety really hurts it.
Starts off decent, but the charm fades quite quickly and it descends into little more than a relatively pleasant listen. Very forgettable despite the nice vibes.
A really solid blueprint for a pop EP - it's catchy, funky, and quirky whilst sticking close enough to the guidelines not to lose the accessibility of pop music. Really solid!
Diskopunk drop an absolute banger of an EP with no misses here - each track is stellar in its own right and the EP generally hits the highs of their first releases. A really solid EP that I can imagine will only improve further with more listens!
