Being Dead - EELS
64

Very quirky, but unfortunately not really for me

Ezra Collective - Dance, No One's Watching
82

Pure funky fun - this is a real bop of an album with some serious charm to it. It's honest and spirited, and whilst not perfect it makes for a really enjoyable listen. Check it out!

Mustafa - Dunya
79

A beautiful listen, 'Gaza is Calling' is the real standout track for me despite them all being really nice on the ears :)

Xiu Xiu - 13" Frank Beltrame Italian Stiletto with Bison Horn Grips
76

I've always struggled with Xiu Xiu, and this album is no exception. Whilst more accessible than some past works, I still can't find myself engaging with the album and find it underwhelming as a result. I can see how fans could appreciate this album, but it just isn't for me

LAUREL - Palpitations
73

A fun yet pretty hollow album, it's not bad by any means but feels severely lacking in any real substance

Kings of Convenience - Peace Or Love
71

Another real easy, pleasurable listen by Kings of Convenience. It's not mind-blowing by any means, but a real nice listen!

The Irrepressibles - Yo Homo!
59

It's ok ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

PREP - The Programme
61

Unfortunately it's a half step backwards for PREP -this feels hollow and incredibly generic

Mt. Joy - Live at The Salt Shed
85

Just a really good live performance! Some great covers thrown in too

GEZAN - i ai ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACK
71

I enjoyed it! It's mostly ambient work with a bit of variety and some vocals sprinkled in, but the final track especially stood out to me as really enjoyable!

The Delta Riggs - The Reak Electric
83

This is a really really solid album from the Delta Riggs! I've always known them to be a fun listen, and this album continues that fun vibe throughout! The only thing it lacks, strangely, is any desire for me to re-listen to it! I'm sure I will, but despite the tracks all being solid I just don't see myself coming back to the full album again!

The Beaches - Blame My Ex
77

A really solidly consistent album with some definite standout tracks that really catch your attention! More than anything though, it does a really good job at maintaining the Beaches sound throughout

Origami Angel - Feeling Not Found
68

I was hoping for more - it's not bad by any stretch, just underwhelming and honestly pretty generic

Lady Gaga - Harlequin
73

A pretty enjoyable mix of jazz tracks - it didn't blow me away but it was a nice enough listen!

Pale Waves - Smitten
74

Pale Waves' most recent album is decent, but somehow manages to make 12 tracks all sound pretty damn similar - resulting in a pretty monotonous and repetitive sound throughout the album. It's not bad, but the lack of variety really hurts it.

Middle Kids - Faith Crisis Pt. 1
62

Starts off decent, but the charm fades quite quickly and it descends into little more than a relatively pleasant listen. Very forgettable despite the nice vibes.

LAUREL - Petrol Bloom
83

A really solid blueprint for a pop EP - it's catchy, funky, and quirky whilst sticking close enough to the guidelines not to lose the accessibility of pop music. Really solid!

Diskopunk - Fuck Around
88

Diskopunk drop an absolute banger of an EP with no misses here - each track is stellar in its own right and the EP generally hits the highs of their first releases. A really solid EP that I can imagine will only improve further with more listens!

Sigmun - Mazahare
80

Solid! Wish the vocals were more prominent though

half•alive - Sophie's House
74

Whilst a nice listen, it does feel quite generic and bland.
