Solid if unremarkable from Anima! It keeps to their classic sound, whilst dipping it's toes in slightly more experimental sounds. Not bad :)
Fantastical female funk!
ADBC never let down when it comes to absolutely grooving, and this release is no exception. Their weakest point remains the same in their lyricism, but this is more than made up for with the feeling good vibes radiating from this album!
It's a really comforting and warm listen, but it feels lacking in several areas leaving it somewhat underwhelming as an overall release. You'll enjoy it whilst listening to it, but there's very little that you will remember about it once the album is over.
It sounds nice, but unfortunately it's completely forgettable as it has no real substance
A bit long winded, and ultimately nothing all that interesting. A nice listen though
A mind-blowing release - such a varied and contrasting array of tracks scattered throughout a mesmerising one-hour runtime. Despite the variety it manages to remain incredibly well balanced throughout, with only a couple of short, almost interlude-y tracks being the weak points. It's a hell of an experience, and definitely worth listening to!
A really charming little release! It's nothing that will absolutely blow you away I don't think, but it's consistent and solid, with some real nice sounds! Nice!
I don't HATE it, but man is this an underwhelming, lazy and utterly bland release from Julian and the Voidz. It's completely soulless, and as others have mentioned it just screams AI generated at several points throughout. There are a few tracks that do feel reasonably well thought out and have a fairly solid end product, but there's so much anemic filler through the rest of the album that those good moments are just swallowed up and forgotten. A bit shit really.
A short EP that kinda came out of nowhere for me, but man it absolutely slaps! I was familiar with BETWEEN FRIENDS from their debut single, but had never checked out any of their work since then - and their sound has definitely evolved in the 7 or so years since that first single. There's more variety here, but the production is still solid and the vibes remain pretty immaculate and heartfelt. Overall, a fun quick burst of an EP that is definitely worth checking out.
It's pretty good, but nothing really blew me away - there are some strong tracks nestled amongst others that don't do so much for me.
Some really spectacular moments scattered throughout Molchat Doma's usual sonic landscape of melancholy. A couple tracks fail to match the highs, but on the overall scope this record is a release that approaches the levels of their earlier work. It's bleak and brutalist, but completely and utterly engaging.
Doesn't immediately catch me like most of their other singles do, but it's still solid and I can see it getting more and more enjoyable with more listens
A very decent album with some beautifully poignant moments scattered throughout that will completely capture you.
The contrast between the harsh, distorted guitars and then the softer, acoustic tracks make this an absolute joy of an album to listen to! Nilüfer's vocals are luscious as ever, and coupled with the wonderful production make this a really really enjoyable release! My only problem with it is that she released damn near half the album in singles beforehand!
Didn't quite work as well for me as it did for others, but this is still a really nice listen :)
It's all the same sound, but it's nice enough. If you like slenderbodies, this will be nothing new to you but also serve as a decent addition to their repertoire.
