A completely different sound and vibe to the other singles, but one that builds absolutely beautifully and creates an incredible atmosphere. I can imagine it'll only get better with more listens too.
Boring, and honestly it feels lazy. Not really seeing what others are getting from this album.
This is really damn good! Wasn't sure what I was getting into when approaching this for the first listen, but the reviews had me intrigued for sure. The anime-esque energy throughout the EP hits with a real wave of nostalgia and the whole sound is absolutely nailed on to what I'd want from this genre. There are a couple of moments in the middle-section that don't quite hit the highs set by the rest of the album, but this is then remedied by the amazing closing track which had me ... read more
This is shaping up to be one hell of an album, another brilliant single release
Another blissful listen from Uyama Hiroto, although I found myself enjoying the first half of the album more than the latter.
Going into this blind, I was not expecting this to sound how it did - ESPECIALLY with the complete switch in sound and style in the first couple of tracks. Unfortunately, I really struggle with the vocals and find them grating and annoying - although with them being so unique I can see how they appeal to some! I quite enjoyed the long track in all fairness, but struggled to click with most other tracks which also wasn't helped by their short runtimes. However, a shout-out has to go for the ... read more
A solid listen, and a really interesting album overall but I just struggled to have it really click for me. I think the sound of the album just didn't quite resonate with me despite the interesting concepts and ideas to be found throughout, but I could see this changing on future listens if I return to it.
Promising single! Love the dark, almost intimidating sound made here and it makes for an exciting listen in the build up to the next release!
Whilst I did really quite enjoy the highs here, I just found that the album as a whole was bloated by far too much mediocre filler music that contributes very little to the album other than just extending the runtime. Without these mostly unnecessary tracks, this album probably jumps up at least 5-10 points
The vibes are pretty immaculate throughout, but unfortunately a fair few of the tracks come through as slightly amateurish and underbaked. There's some real potential here though, and it's a solid first step for Aler
A really solid listen, and whilst I absolutely loved parts of this (especially the production) it did feel as if it was lacking that extra something to really push it into being great. Still one of the better albums of the year, but it just feels like it needed a little extra!
Really enjoyable - some tracks here such as 'Love me not' are absolutely stellar. The whole album is smooth, sophisticated, and generally just beautiful - a great little listen!
Whilst I wish she'd taken a heavier, more rock-y approach to this album rather than the soft sound she ultimately chose, there's no denying that this is a pretty cute album! Her vocals are luscious and the vibe is absolutely adorable, but there are quite a few forgettable album tracks throughout the album which bloats it a little. A nice listen :)
The fact that Parannoul can continuously create such incredible music is a feat in itself - and Sky Hundred is no exception. It's a showcase of everything that makes Parannoul such an incredible artist, with elements of his previous works all woven in to an incredible set of tracks. Ultimately I don't think words would really do this album justice - give it a listen and just enjoy the experience :)
No idea how I came across this, but this was a really enjoyable listen! It starts off really strong but does dip a bit in the middle section, but overall a really funky fun listen!
It's decent, but didn't really do much to stand out from other similar releases
