A really enjoyable debut EP - loved the sounds and ideas here despite them being nothing too complex or new. Look forward to hearing more!
It's pretty good, I really like some of the tracks, but I'm really not a fan of the vocals on several tracks and the whole thing feels really unpolished and messy. A shame, as I think it had potential to be really good
Not all too familiar with Vince's music, but this is a really solid album and definitely worth coming back to in the future
I'll admit I'm not the biggest TOP fan and haven't paid all that much attention to them over the past few years, so this album was pretty much a blind listen for me. It definitely starts out reasonably strong, but after a few songs I found that it really started to become quite a grating listen - the vocals really don't do it for me and a lot of the tracks just didn't have much appeal to me, instead sounding quite corny and 'simple'. There's some standout tracks scattered around, but for the ... read more
It actually started off reasonably strong - it was interesting, had some depth to it, and was generally a fun listen. However around the midway point the album really starts to fall off, sounding tired and worst of all just straight up boring. It'll be completely forgotten within a week, but at least there is some interesting content here that may have some return value if ever desired.
The heartbreak of falling in love with music, just to find that the artist is no longer making music :(
This short EP oozes Aussie charm and passion, with a tight yet varied mix of tracks on display. 'Mushrooms' is an absolutely stellar opener, faultless even, and 'Following' is the other standout tracks here. The other songs help to fill out the EP, and result in a pretty brilliant listen for an EP.
It's just a shame they haven't released since 2018 :(
A really solid debut, I love some of the ideas here but there are definitely some areas that need some improvement. Overall though, I definitely enjoyed this!
Pretty solid, enjoyed it for the most part but nothing really stood out for me. A decent listen and a nice release from Joywave
It's absolutely ass. Sounds awful and isn't made up for with comedy cause it just isn't funny. It just sucks.
Really enjoyed the energy here - although it did feel like 7 individual singles just chucked together with little thought about how the EP would work as a full listen. The tracks themselves are pretty solid though!
Beautiful, but didn't quite engage me. Maybe with more listens it will grow on me
There are a couple of absolute bangers on here that remind me of Billie Eilish before she absolutely blew up, but also I'm not sure I'm quite getting the overall hype for the whole album as there seems to be amongst others. It's a pretty good album sure, but so many of the tracks felt like they were good but not great - filler tracks that will be forgotten within the week. The highs on this album are definitely very high and granted the lows are definitely not that low, but it definitely didn't ... read more
It actually sounds a lot more Cage the Elephant than I was worried it would, which is a really nice surprise! It's nothing all that amazing or that memorable in all honesty, but it's still a decent listen and has some reasonably solid tracks throughout, so all in all a bit of a pleasant suprise of a release!
A stunning return to form for Delta Sleep, after their most recent LP failed to captivate me like their previous works had done
