This album started off somewhat decent, or at least better than I anticipated. But around track 9 the novelty ran thin and the songs got exponentially more obnoxious. After this Eminem doesn't deserve to be on a top 5 rappers list, let alone number 1. His classics aged badly and everything post-2008 is awful.

This filled the void that Flying Lotus's painfully average album left in my soul

100 gecs is suitable for isolated music torture. This album is a shitty attempt at being different and illustrates the clear absence of any musical skill for its entire runtime. Every song sounds like cheap and distorted versions of DDR tracks. I'm struggling to think of any redeeming qualities about the record. To the people giving this a 100, I'm not calling you liars, but I ain't calling you a truther.

1/10

this album is my purgatory.

Who would've thought both Vic and Chance would fall this far to the bottom? Two of the most promising Chicago artists from the early 2010s put out two of the worst albums of 2019.

The album borders too closely to acoustic Christian rock for my liking. Falling legit sounds like a bible camp ballad. Pretty underwhelmed sadly.

Severely underwhelming and overrated. This album CTRL-V's their influences without doing their sound different or interesting. The album belongs exactly where the album cover depicts.

Heavily underappreciated due to the fact it's Fall Out Boy, but let me tell you, this album is nothing short of amazing. Folie a Deux blends genres with a surprising degree of success. Pete's pen game peaked here with lyrics full of imagery and unique ways to describe the familiar pop/punk feelings we'd come to expect. And the chorus's...don't even get me started. There isn't a song lacking a chorus I can't scream at peak volume while going 80 MPH on the highway. The instrumentation is ... read more

It's unreasonable how hard this goes. This is better produced, performed, and catchier than anything Nicki, Cardi, or Meg has done recently. Hot Pink is sex appeal pop/rap done REALLY well.

EDIT: Okay, this kinda sizzled out for me

Jesus Is King is the product of excessive amounts of delays spanning over an entire year and an identity crisis that lead Kanye towards superfluous amounts of religion. The combination of these two things resulted in what is undisputedly Kanye's worst album. Despite being longer than his last two albums “Ye” and “Kids See Ghosts”, it still manages to sound less complete and more empty. Songs feel unfinished and have extremely rough, demo sounding mixes. Kanye is quite ... read more

QUICK THOUGHTS: One of the most overrated indie albums of all time. I blame Pitchfork for making him famous.

QUICK THOUGHTS: Vagabon's S/T release is pleasant enough, but doesn't achieve anything overly exceptional. The record feels too safe in it's indie-pop aesthetic, doing the genre well, but not any different.

As the decade comes to a close, there aren’t many records that perfectly encapsulate the 2010s like Because the Internet did. More relevant than the day it came out, it’s aged like fine wine since it’s release. Ludwig and Donald’s production still goes toe-to-toe with any album released today - the longevity on this project is immaculate. And dare I say, one of the best album roll outs of all time - despite some hickups with Glassnote. Interactive websites, accompanying ... read more

QUICK THOUGHTS: Before you get out your Pitchforks, let me explain. Let me start out by saying I don’t think this record is “bad” or “mediocre” or even “overrated.” Simply put, it just isn’t for me. Björk’s vocals are beautifully complex one moment and nails on a chalkboard another. The production ranges from expertly layerd worlds to “this was definitely made in the 90s”. Maybe a couple years down the road my third-eye will ... read more

A pity-party over generic trap production, using stale flows, and not a truly memorable moment in sight. This EP isn’t irredeemable, but it certaitantly went in one ear and out the other. Ameer attempts to use his past to excuse the actions of the present, but I don’t buy it. All the drama aside this EP is still a big ol’ shrug.
