Having a style already associated to an artist and suddenly changing it to a completely different sound–that has much different audience–takes a huge risk. Sure it can attract said audience, but the question lies on that will the original crowd remains? Not everyone is receptive to adapt. So is it beneficial to an artist in the first place?
