This album is truly timeless and the definition of pop punk perfection. It's catchy, fun and moody. I re-visited the album this year to reminisce and rejoice the past moments I had with this album and my listen was filled with nostalgia. I forgot about how good and how fun this album was and I think anyone who loves pop should definitely give this album a try.
Key tracks: So OVer You, Break The Rules, Sucker, Breaking Up, Boom Clap
Original rating: 80/10
Lots and lots of fillers on this album, but the key tracks are truly marvelous. Nevertheless, the album is a quite fun and ever changing ride as RV experiment with different genres and styles.
Key tracks: PSYCHO, Eyes Locked Hands Locked, Sunny Side Up!
Julian, Peppermint, Wilder Than the Wind, and Beloved are the key tracks
Honorable mentions: Angels (Above Me), Nothing but a Heartbeat, Electrify
I was surprised at how good and cohesive this album was.
Best tracks: Can I, If You Hate Me, Bouncin', EX
Every song sounds the same in a bad way. The Chainsmokers try to be a bit experimental this time but it just comes off as boring and lazy. The album is enjoyable to some degree but it's lyrics, production and tunes are just too washed out and generic.
An enjoyable album overall that showcases a bit of his versatility but it really doesn't showcase his talent, despite him having a lot of talent. The songs are mostly cohesive in a bad way though because they just sound mundane and monotonous. Overall, this album is an effort that could definitely be appreciated, but he's just not there yet. He's playing it too safe.
this album is just too safe. no track really stands out but there are highlights - easy, dream of you and used to this.
i think laye has a lot of potential especially with the highlight tracks "no love lost", "more", "better" and the holy grails of "sicker" and "dancing".
overall a very consistent album that's not too generic but safe enough to appeal to many listeners. if you love dark moody pop with catchy tunes, this albums for you.
A project which proves how Tinashe is undeniably talented and showcases her versality.
EDIT: This project is just so damn cohesive I had to +5.
was expecting a lot of catchy hooks in the project but it just didnt click
people always say this is ahead of its time but i dont see it. it just really has no hook.
