I’m not joking when I say this is a lot better than The Life Of Pablo and Yeezus.
This is Kanye’s eighth studio album, and he discusses various topics ranging from mental health and addiction. Speaking of mental health, this is the album where Kanye reveals his bipolar disorder diagnosis through the cover.
It also happens to be one of the 7-song albums produced by Kanye that were recorded in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. During the listening party, Chris Rock announced the album title, and hours prior, Kanye’s ex-wife Kim Kardashian teased the title.
The music itself is very enjoyable. Kanye’s production is amazing as always, and the features just don’t miss. Sure, there are a few cringy moments, but it’s Kanye, so of course there’s something in there that doesn’t sit well. Oh yeah, you should check out the second half of the best song on the album.
As someone who struggles with mental health, this actually clicked with me a bit. I wouldn’t expect it to fully click, but that’s totally okay.
