DAYWALKER!

Everything about this utterly sucks so hard in what it tries to be.

Machine Gun Kelly and CORPSE aren’t trap metal, they aren’t punk, they just want to capitalize for money. There is no heart and no soul at all to either of these people. Machine Gun Kelly happens to know Travis Barker, a former rockstar, so he wanted to make the safest, most rudimentary “punk” music which obviously doesn’t hold up with all the trap beats and barely pop rock songs. And if you look at CORPSE, he desperately needs something else besides twelve among us videos to make him popular, so he decided to make kinda trap-metal music with his disgusting voice (that, don’t get me wrong, has potential) but just decided that his fan base would eat up whatever he put out so..yeah, he put out some awful singles and I hope an album or mixtape never sees light.

And, what’s worse is they try to own up on some kind of edgy persona/look with the black nails, the tryhard lyrics, so on so on. And maybe I shouldn’t be angry at such cheap mimickry, but when they’re as inescapable as they are today I am quite mad. I think I liked CORPSE better when he was making clickbait generic horror videos and Kelly when he was making fine rap music.

And I think this song is the crux of my point. This literally sounds like my last two paragraphs(?) into one ear-shattering, annoying, wannabe edgy, 14 year old bait. I also don’t really understand who this was made for. Most likely CORPSE fans, but do MGK fans even know who CORPSE is or even like his content? I don’t know. But honestly the only good I can even see from this song is maybe a crossover fanbase, but the worst could be a collaboration album. That sounds like it could be the worst album of the year, so..Oh, and one last point before I finish is that I noticed MGK shedded the “punk” sound almost immediately after whatever that album is called came out. He’s allowed to do other styles but I thought he wanted to be a “punk artist” now?
