Grimes - Miss Anthropocene
80
Pretty good electronic pop album from Grimes once again. She hasn’t missed with me, but at the same time hasn’t been able to flesh out her full potential either. Her works seem to become disjointed at some points in the album, and that happens on this one again. Some songs, like "Delete Forever", while enjoyable, don’t seem to fit into the otherwise ethereal dystopian electro-pop landscape Grimes is going for here. However, from a technical aspect I can’t ignore how great this album is, the production is the best I’ve heard on Grimes album to this point. While I still feel that she is capable of something even greater, this will certainly do, I have my gripes, but overall this is one of the better records I’ve heard so far this year.
