Chance the Rapper - Acid Rap
100

Just a ‘lil personal classic

Vince Staples - Cry Baby
50

Vince’s punk-rap mix is nothing interesting and his political raps are nothing but a stale version of what they were prior

tdf - BLUEPRINT
92

best plugg prod

POLO PERKS <3 <3 <3 - PUNK GOES DRILL+**
95

Drill is great but this site still hates on it sometimes yk

Quadeca - Dark Magic
NR

Quadeca is something I guess

System of a Down - Toxicity
90

I haven’t listened to enough metal so this will probably change very soon

Quadeca - SCRAPYARD
60

“Yo Ben, whatcha cooking up in here?”

Quadeca is an artist of interesting fixation. He’s completely occupied with maximizing sound and fake-experimenting, but sometimes- it works.

This is one of those instances done more consistently, still not well.

21 Savage, Offset & Metro Boomin - Without Warning
50

I don’t know why, but i unironically enjoy Offset quite a bit. Not 21 though, he’s boring to me.

[filler]

Kendrick Lamar - Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers
NR

“I choose me”

But did he?

Radiohead - In Rainbows
70

On relisten it’s much more mediocre

[unfinished/filler]

青葉市子 [Ichiko Aoba] - Luminescent Creatures
80

Very relaxing and ethereal

[filler]

black midi - Hellfire
60

Maybe too high? Technically cool, I was really high on this album last year but now I don’t love it as much.

[filler]

50

Boring, in a word. Doesn’t really do much out-there things.

[filler]

Drake - ICEMAN
31

Only one out of the three with bare minimum lyrics and mild production.

heavensouls - westside trapped
81

Wow, I haven’t given ratings to any of the Heavensouls projects yet. Shocking in a sense, I’ve been pretty into him for a while since I started delving into hip-hop near the end of last year.

Action Bronson - PLANET FROG
70

I still appreciate the Bronson works, and what he brings to the genre feels like a modern twist on an old throwback- kind of like putting cheese on ramen. That said, this album exists to do more honing than innovation; I don’t know how much I appreciate that.

"@Inorma And I think it started off ok, Shake your rump was corny but catchy in a sense? Maybe that one’s nostalgia baiting me.(I’ve heard that one before). But it just It just went to shit."
On Beastie Boys - Paul's Boutique
"@Bot10Exists lmao one of my friends heard that I liked hip-hop and they told me to listen to this, I thought it was the most wack thing I’ve heard in a while😭. I’ll probably bring my score up to like a 10 or something like that at one point but my scores are really strong when I first hear stuff."

"I dropped a better one that I feel you might actually enjoy; also just a great album in hip-hop history."
On Bot10Exists's review of Offset - KIARI
"My bad about the rec😭; I was on practically no sleep when I wrote the review after studying and just threw the rec. it’s a hot, a really hot take by me. Next rec will actually be pretty good I promise."

"@Kasane Gotcha. Thanks!"
On Offset - KIARI
"@Bot10Exists I want to say it’s going to be good, but it might be mediocre(that’s how most people feel about this one.) I would probably spin the heavensouls album first."
On Offset - KIARI
"@Bot10Exists Nice! I gave this rec because I was surprised by how much I enjoyed it, and was wondering if another person enjoyed it as much as I did."
On Kasane's review of MIKE - POMPEII // UTILITY
"Quick question, sorry to bother you; What would the individual scores be for POMPEII and UTILITY?"
On Wither's review of JPEGMAFIA - All My Heroes Are Cornballs
"I know you had the rating purge, but I wonder how this album would be looked at after the mess that is Experimental Rap."
On Wither's review of JPEGMAFIA - EXPERIMENTAL RAP
"Amazing review, I’m sorry you had to deal with that guy. I wonder what an younger JPEG thinks of himself now, would he admire or despise this portrayal of his “experimental rap” vision?"
On Bot10Exists's review of JPEGMAFIA - EXPERIMENTAL RAP
"@Bot10Exists yes! That one."
On disentangle's review of Joseph Hammer - I Love You Please Love Me Too
"@disentangle true, true. Thanks for the talk!"
On homuli's review of Vince Staples - Dark Times
"@homuli gotcha! I also really appreciate your writing, it’s amazing to read through during some free time."
On disentangle's review of Joseph Hammer - I Love You Please Love Me Too
"@disentangle They were holding Harper back from going back out after his injury, he should be fine. Yeah, I’m trying to understand music better and what makes it “worse”; also how my views align with it too. I really don’t want this series to go 7, as I would want to build up some Of Castle’s confidence so he doesn’t turn the ball over as much."
On Bot10Exists's review of JPEGMAFIA - EXPERIMENTAL RAP
"@Bot10Exists Oh, I was bringing up because the quote used in this instance is reminiscent of something on one of his Pink Siifu reviews; don’t mind it now. The Vanisher review really hits home now🥲; I was incredibly stupid back then."
On disentangle's review of Joseph Hammer - I Love You Please Love Me Too
"@disentangle, I wish you did more reviews, because I would love to hear your thoughts on some more negatively rated/positively rated albums. Your writing style is so fun to read and gives me a fantastic oversight into what you’re thinking, which isn’t true for everyone. Anyway, Spurs in 5?"
On Bot10Exists's review of JPEGMAFIA - EXPERIMENTAL RAP
"Is this inspired by Wither by chance? I feel like I’ve read a similar review from him; but this feels like it leans into the actual full development of defining whiteness. Anyway, great review, but I meat even argue that the score should be lower due to the bullshit dragging on for so damn long. It even makes the production desensitizing, doing the worst thing an “experimental” album can do: Be boring."
On homuli's review of Vince Staples - Dark Times
"If you don’t mind me asking, what made Vince forgettable? I feel like this album was one of his most introspective and emotional/memorable. What made his performance fall flat?(I do understand the instrumental critique.)"
On real_nathan's review of Kendrick Lamar - To Pimp a Butterfly
"Damn bro you follow me?😭 My opinions are pretty bad, but this review is one of the best I’ve seen in a long time. I kinda wanted to share a similar opinion in more nuance with my own, but I couldn’t really deliver that as well as you did."
On Bot10Exists's review of Maxo - After Hours
"@Bot10Exists Perhaps, but it feels more raw compared to some other intricate reviews. That’s an interesting charm about the review; better than anything I can write anyway."
On Bot10Exists's review of Nujabes - Modal Soul
"I think he chose very safe but not necessarily good rappers- like you said- but specifically those with a good flow to complement his production. The features aren't unlistenable, but rather a sidenote to the production itself. The lyrics can hit at points when it needs to rejuvenate you- but it's mostly an afterthought while still being a thought to the experience of both Nujabes albums. They become a part of his art, if you get me."
On dj_digo's review of LUCKI - DaysB4Bad*
"same, I think this EP might be throwaways and drb will be a more complete project. That said, r u gonna review like Freewave 3 by chance?"
