He certainly has his niche but Carti doesn’t do anything on his newest Lp to warrant a 30 song track list.
It’s silly, it’s fun, it’s genuine. At the end of the day, what more could be asked?
The Scythe demonstrates incredible potential on their collaborative debut. Denzel is his usual boisterous self and Tia Corine is a huge creative highlight, overall, it’s a fun south Florida gangster play date.
A step down overall from his previous major Lp, Quaranta is a sobering take on Danny Browns style. It’s still deep, he’s still fun, and still unique as ever.
There’s many things uniquely great about this project overall, however, the vocal processing and ultimately similar production choices hold it back from being truly great.
Revnegseekerz is loud, fun, and terminally online in all the best ways possible.
It’s sound is a little shallow, but Object Permanence sounds stylistic and cryptically beautiful all the same.
