Oooo you have such fantastic choice too lol. Im very surprised you chose Lana Born To Die too ahahah. Funny enough I actually have not heard any Alicia Key's albums in full but because it's your favourite, I'm gonna give them a listen. Also I listened to Back To Basics and Stripped ages ago but only the singles connected with me. I will explore these albums more!

Hi!! you should pick your favorite albums of all time for your profile on AOTY! :D

Need more time with:
Kara Marni - Her EP was wayyyy too safe. She even took "1 Thing" and made it generic. Expecting her to experiment more in the future.
Ashian - Similar problem. Some songs are fine but some are too generic. They sound like the typical R&B music Summer Walker makes if you know what I mean?
MEY - A bit better but it's so cohesive and calming that the EP is missing melodies. We need good melodies to pair up with a dreamy R&B record. The songs blend up together too well that I can't really tell them apart because they sound the same.

Anyways, thank you so much for your recommendations! It truly means a lot and I had so much fun exploring and listening to these new artists. I've followed all of them on Spotify and will be keeping track of all their new releases! :D

However, before I do that, I still need to listen to some of their old works like Ashian's as I've only listened to one project and it's not a fair judgment based on one project.

Have a lovely day!! :D

Hey so I finally managed to finish listening to everything and I have to say I have found some really good stuff thanks to you

Favourites:
Wolfie - This recommendation was exactly what I wanted. Atmospheric, futuristic, minimalistic R&B and at times dreamy. "Symmetry" is SO GOOD. "Outta Earth" is also really nice". I'll be listening to her 2020 EP next
"What Are We" by Ginette, like you said is really good. The whole EP gave me Mariah Carey vibes.
EAD3N's voice is very very very good. A shame she's very new/unpopular. She's releasing covers now right & she's the one who dropped "Elevate" & "Promise (my fave)" right?
LAYA - Um, Hello is very catchy and interesting. It's much more risky/experimental than other R&B records nowerdays.

Good:
Maeta - Surprisingly on her latest EP, the strongest tracks are the ones with features. Fave tracks: Teen Scene & Gift
Tiara Imani - Very short EP with a more experimental/tropical (if that makes sense?) approach which was very cohesive

So, I'm going to give my first thoughts on some of the recommendations you gave me because I don't wanna have a gap of nothing happening lol.

1. Janine - Love this suggestion! Her early works from 2014-2015 are definitely are best. I don't really like her post 2016 work besides "Loving Me". Fave tracks: We Could Be Better & Hold Me (solo)
2. Ginette Claudette - I actually prefer her more recent works like her latest EP because it's more lowkey, downtempo and atmospheric.
3. Alycia Bella - The album is definitely a very nice and soothing listen. Kinda reminds me of Alina Baraz. Very calming and not noisy at all. Perfect for studying.
4. Jae Stephens - Already know her and love her. Just patiently waiting for new music since 2 years lol
5. QUIN - Already know her and also love her. LUCID is one of my favourite albums for when I need to relax.

And that's all that I have listened to for now. I will be listening to the rest and letting you know what I think of them maybe in 2 weeks :P

Hi again thanks so much for your suggestions! I'll let you know my thoughts about them once I've finished listening to all of them!

I just have a question though, when you said "Ginette Claudette & Janine and the Mixtape" what did you mean by 'and the Mixtape'. Is 'Mixtape' an artist's name?

Thank you so much and can't wait to listen!

Hey I think you're the perfect person to ask for this but do you have any recommendations for female dreamy R&B albums?

I can give examples like all of Tinashe's albums, Alina Baraz, Sabrina Claudio etc.

Thank you!!! ❤️❤️

Hi there! It's lovely that I made you discover new music! :D Because you seem to like the EP, I'll be sure to give Leah Kate's EP another listen.
