Glaive almost single-handedly got me into hyperpop with cypress grove and had a grip on my music taste in 2020-2021 but its now been many moons since I've listened to his stuff.
Just to peek into what he has been up to lately i put on Y'all to play in the background while I was doing something else but I quickly realized this was a IEM + sit down and listen type moment.
This album exceeded all my expectations. Asheville, fuck, It is What it is, this album is filled to the brim with ... read more
This might be a crazy take but i think this is my favorite projects of hers yet.
It has the energy and spunk of Love and Ponystep while keeping that grit of Monarch.
I also am overall a huge huge fan of artist making stuff for fun, for themselves, just because they love doing it.
There's a certain charm in that which always bumps the project up a notch or two in my eyes,
also bonus bonus points for the skit,
i. LOVE. skits.
But ya, Vylet Pony makes great music, fork found in the kitchen.
edit: welp. they faked their death. cool, real awesome move.
I wasn't familiar with Yamaha before this, i just saw a cool looking album cover so i thought id click, i promptly started vibing because wow this album rocks, so while listening i tried to learn out more about the creator and maybe find some more of their stuff to listen to. That is when i discovered that they are no longer with us, and damn. That was a tough emotion to process, i just felt this really horrible wave of reality ... read more
When i discovered Jane i was thrown for an absolute loop when i found out that Leroy, an artist that I've been listening to for years, was her dariacore side project, then much later I started listening to a fresh new indie rock artist called Venturing only to find that was ALSO Jane, so now I'm convinced every artist i listen to is simply a super secret alt project of Jane.
I basically fell in love with her music 3 separate times and I honestly couldn't be happier.
My 100th rating and I'm giving this album a 100 to match because wow.
This album is so raw and visceral and contains so many moments where i had to step back and go "damn holy shit" both because of the vile narrative and the incredible sounds that are present here.
the cover will inevitably put some people off but man do not let bias lead you astray because this is truly amazing work.
Seeing all of my favourite artists on this album was like seeing your custom character in a video game cutscene.
Dude is collecting queer musicians like they're infinity stones.
shteppi these lyrics are a little bit too real can we kick it down a notch ( ╥ω╥ )

Hands down one of the best albums I've ever heard.
On first listen the songs are produced masterfully and catchy as hell.
On repeat listens the writing, subtle messaging and LORE are nothing short of beautiful.
I've always been a fan of underscores but man this is easily my favourite work of hers by far.
Cannot WAIT to hear more.
Favourites:
Locals (Girls like us)
Johnny johnny johnny
Uncanny long arms
One of my favourite dariacore albums that ive heard in recent memory.
Criminally underrated
SWAGGOT! has been one of my favourite albums for a bit because its just SO FUN.
All the goofy quips like ONCE A SWAGGOT ALWAYS A SWAGGOT stay in my head like tumors and are SO amusing to say, the skits are hilarious and the tracks are bumpy and chunky and make my brain feel very nice.
Its not groundbreaking by any stretch of the means but bro the album is called SWAGGOT.
I guess i am plenty lgbtq+ for this lmao
