Tom Morello - Everything Burns
70

The right amount of corny IMO.

RemK - RIDE THE WAVE!
70

Remk's skills as a songwriter lag behind his skills as a producer on the techincal aspects. Many of these songs could be way better than they are if the mixing on them was better and I think that prevents this project from being everything it could be.

Having said that, this EP is still worth listening to because when it works well, it works very well. Very San Holo-esq in the most complimentary way possible.

Tisoki - KILLAA
70

Of his more recent dubstep tracks, this is pretty good.

Au5 & Prismatic - Quantum Level
90

One of my favorite Au5 tracks ever. The track just never lets up in its raw force in a way that a lot of tracks like it don't measure up to.

Skybreak - NOLIGHT
90

This guy's been on a generational run and the entire scene is just playing catch up

Whales - Die Young
0

Having said that, you could remove that freaking Kesha vocal, and this track would be so much better. Like, the drop isn't that bad (not the best), but that stupid vocal actually ruins any good that could be found in the track.

If you're gonna nostalgia bait, at least show some respect for the original track man...

Sharks - Ichor
80

Crazy how using more than one note in a scale can make your music more interesting than most other riddim artists.

Dylan Brady - Needle Guy
70

It's fun and doesn't overstay its welcome.

Subtronics - Word Scramble
70

Enjoyed that more than I thought I would

BARELY ALIVE - WATTSTEP Vol. 1
65

The clarity remix is pretty good and nails the classic brostep vibe pretty well without feeling like a gimmick. The ep's kinda mid otherwise, so the clarity remix is definitely inflating the score.

underscores - fishmonger
75

I never listened to Underscores before today, and I'm impressed by what I've heard.

underscores - U
75

Listened to this on a whim and found myself entertained. Wish U Well is such a great track, though; it really takes this album to another level. I kinda wish the rest of it hit the same emotional high as that one.

beastboi. - LOUD AND FEAR
85

Next time someone starts talking about how bad riddim is as a genre, I'm going to ask if they've ever listened to Beastboi and if they haven't then I'll laugh in their face.

Other than that, I could just copy my Dirt pony review because this album's just that good.

Veer - FLOW STATE
90

So when are we going to put Veer in the "best of the best" conversation?

Space Laces - STAXX
90

I'm gonna cry bruh.

Real talk though, I wouldn't mind this causing a resurgence in moombahton in the EDM space tbh.

Getter - UNORTHODOX
95

One of the most interesting songs Svdden Death has made in a hot minute. I need a full EP from this duo yesterday.

Kayzo - XXX
NR

Can he like, name that song that legally...?

On 889's review of KILLMATTER - HELLDUST88 (REFLEX)
"I reads as if a lot of the personality that made Disciple what it once was has been stripped from it, and they think that the label can run off of brand recognition alone. Which, in fairness, might not be entirely wrong if the song selection manages to be consistently decent to good."

"NGL, I liked it better when the bar was on the side. It made the covers feel like they could be CD's idk."
On DubstepIsDead's review of Dylan Brady - Needle Guy
"Whenever a project is rated by non-edm fans it seems to get a lower score than it really deserves. Not always, but often enough that it makes a pattern."

"Space Laces, give me a full version of Whip It and I will do whatever you want."
On SVDDEN DEATH - Shallow Land Burial (Wooli Remix)
"@OctoMarkus the voyd compilations felt like a love letter to the Dubstep scene. This remix feels like Wooli got his hands on the SLB stems and slapped them on a track he already had made for clicks."

"No amount of warning could have prepared me for that drop. Funniest song I've heard all week."

"You said what I've been thinking for a while now. Compared to the Upgrade EP, Pixel Terrors new direction pales in comparison imo."
