Beach House - Devotion
75

A very good follow up to their debut album, but the highs don’t quite hit the same as they did on the very first album. Love the sound of this band though.

Rihanna - ANTI
85

I like the wide array of sounds on here compared to her previous albums, and there is a lot of truly great production and song writing on here, also damn that second half has some really fantastic highs.

Silk Sonic - An Evening With Silk Sonic
80

These two go together like bread and butter, it just works, so so well.

underscores - U
80

Somebody produced their ass off to make this album, damn.

Magdalena Bay - Nice Day: A Collection of Singles
88

I enjoy these singles, not quite as much as Imaginal disk songs, but they are still solid listens

James Blake - Trying Times
90

I found a lot to enjoy about this record, the introspective and mature lyrics as well as the beautiful production is just what I want to hear from an artist this late into their career.

Jeff Buckley - Grace
100

This shit was so good I was locked into the music so much I didn’t realize I was speeding while driving. Dude had an incredible voice it’s sad we couldn’t have seen what he would’ve done with his career after this.

Tears for Fears - Songs from the Big Chair
90

This album has some of the most 80s sounding pop imaginable, and that to me is what makes it so good, there is a reason artists replicate that sound often. Tears for Fears put together a jam packed album with banger after banger, and a lot of emotional depth if you pay attention to the lyrics.

Gorillaz - Demon Days
85

While I prefer the debut album as of now, I still found a lot to enjoy with this one. This album has a lot of personality and it is a fun listen because of that while also having quite a lot of depth as well as beautiful production, it does just about everything right and I can see why it’s a must hear.

Gorillaz - Gorillaz
85

This album is a fantastic blend of different genres while still somehow feeling cohesive to listen to, In my opinion every song here is worth a listen because each either has its own take on a different style of music, or is just incredibly entertaining to vibe to.

Prince and The Revolution - Parade (Music From the Motion Picture Under the Cherry Moon)
90

An absolute bop from start to finish, I’ve had this album on repeat for the last week since I’ve heard it and I can’t get enough, absolutely fantastic all around.

Eminem - The Marshall Mathers LP
80

Classic for a reason, Eminem at his finest lyrically and in pretty much every other aspect, not my personal favorite project but still special nonetheless

Childish Gambino - Because the Internet
70

A solid early album from Donald Glover which foreshadows what’s to come with its own unique flare

Earl Sweatshirt - I Don't Like Shit, I Don't Go Outside
85

Impressive production and some great verses, love the gloomy sound that is going on here.

Pink Floyd - Animals
100

Another incredible album from Pink Floyd that has aged like the finest wine imaginable. Everything off this album comes together in a way that is absolutely fantastic.

Danny Brown - Atrocity Exhibition
95

This was a very exceptional album, and one of the most unique rap albums I’ve heard in recent memory. The writing was very well thought out. The production was also dope as hell. I couldn’t pick a favorite track because every one of the 15 tracks has something that stands out to me, this is by far one of my favorite albums I’ve heard from 2016.

Black Thought & Danger Mouse - Cheat Codes
90

This album is great, it’s charismatic, soulful, and fun to listen to. This is the kind of production that makes me love hip-hop, and not to mention the bars are great and the features hit (rip MF Doom)

Denzel Curry - TA13OO
86

This was a great album. Denzel put together a great concept album which had just about all that you could ask for with a ton of bangers, some smoother cuts, and great production. I did find a track or two to not really stand out to me a whole lot, but that’s about the only critique I have, I shoulda listened to this sooner.
