I dont think I'll ever 180 on an album harder than DAMN. My intial rating was in the low 60s. On that first listen I payed little to no attention to the lyrics, basing my opinion instead on the production which I was not a fan of. I hated how 'poppy' all the songs sounded (even though most of them decidedly dont sound very poppy) especially LOYALTY. which I have grown now to appreciate a lot more even though its still one of my least favourites.

Blackwater is one of the best brostep songs ever created, everything else on this LP is okay occasionally bordering on cringe but hey this was something I listened to heaps in year 8 so we ball.
Take That ruins the flow of this album tho. It's clearly a concept album of this looming threat of the machine and Overkill should be grand finale bossfight song but then Take That comes in and it simply does not sound like it should be on this album and also kinda ruins the finale. The definitive Vulfpeck album and my personal favourite live album period. The live versions carry so much more energy compared to the studio recorded versions, partially due to their increased speed but I also think it's due to the use of live instruments which they haven't always done on their studio recordings, opting instead for virtual instruments. I love this album.
