I could listen to that saxophone wail for the rest of my life and die a happy man
Don’t get me wrong I really like Sabrina Carpenter as a person she is very funny but there is a reason this album took me a day and a half to finish
The singles got me a little worried this would be another insano or speeding bullet 2 heaven from cudi but thankfully this is pretty good. Cudi sounds so genuinely gracious and thankful when he talks about his success and his mental health journey and that makes me like him even more than I did before. Some of the songs here like Neverland don’t really work because although he is super genuine, Cudi can get a little bit corny sometimes, but thankfully most of the songs on here sound ... read more
I can’t believe an Earl Sweatshirt album is making me happy.
Shockingly, this is a really fun album. It’s kinda crazy to say that about an Earl album because he has been pretty consistently making soul crushingly depressing experimental hip hop for nearly the past decade but he sounds like he’s having a good time here. His pen is as sharp as ever with some really thoughtful and profound lyrics but beyond that he is surprisingly confident on this album. He has crazy swagger ... read more
lol these sample clearances had to be like a million bucks but they were worth every cent
I saw JID preform this entire album tonight and he signed my shirt. Genuinely one of the best nights of my life and this album being this good is just the cherry on top.
If The Forever Story was the continuation of the Never story in its narrative then this is the continuation of the DiCaprio series with its nonstop bangers. Don’t get me wrong, this album does have a running theme of accepting the ugly parts about yourself because our imperfections are what make us beautiful, but I ... read more
Fun little detour for Metro.
This mixtape is nothing crazy but it’s immaculately produced (of course it is its Metro) and has a few great fun summer bops. The only real downside is disc 2 drags a good bit and feels a lot less focused than the summer Atlanta sounding disc one, but it is by no means bad. This is a fun pitstop but I would much rather Mr Boomin work on his Hero’s and Villains follow up than this.
My dear sailor, when you feel yourself become lost at sea bound for the belly of the beast, light your quadiki torch and look the the sky, for your lord the everlasting Quad will be upon you
Central Cee is the most boring rapper alive and the UK government should publicly denounce Drakes accent
If this is snubbed from a dance album nomination at the Grammys we live in an evil world
I’ve been listening to a good amount of Rodeo lately and compared to that album this sounds like the worst regression possible. Production is generally uninteresting and when it’s not it’s outright bad (Beep Beep) and the rapping is nothing to get excited about. A few good features from the likes of Glorilla Sahbabii and YB don’t make up for the mind numbing mediocrity this album offers. I feel pretty bad for Don Toliver and Faygo because they have pretty good ... read more
Push and No Malice sound absolutely FILTHY on this just the grimmest dirtiest delivery you can imagine
Don carries this group so hard it’s not even funny. Also Faygo in the video hopefully his verse is good because god knows he needs it.
Beneath the deep sadness , this is one of the warmest and most loving albums I’ve ever heard
This album is all over the place, but with how Kevin has spoke about this albums creation it feels very artistic genuine and works. Also Quadeca has the fucking Midas touch every song he works on is perfect.
