I wanna fuck my computer
I coulda put a quote from Sing Good but let’s be real this is what I care for. Such a sonically cool album. Super fun, I could play these songs forever and can’t wait to hear them live. What a way to come into a genre and influence the sound. Really happy music has taken this direction
If you could go anywhere, would you stay here?
Fantastic production and passion as from all Jane projects but this ends really well and hits such a key note to finish everything off with Dream Sequence
Did it now I’m startin’ again
Beautiful production across the project, super maxed out pop songs with some great story telling throughout. Very fun to listen to and enjoy
A thousand people scream my fucking name, It don’t mean shit if I don’t hear you say
Chaos personified, I love it
Put Your Headphones On
A reflectful look at on Addisons new stardom, the new fame brings a whole change in people around her and how she navigates from here is questioned.
Addison puts together a well worked album with some consistent highlights but really needs to lean into a direction in order to gather a cohesive sound or artistic direction.
“For only love can conquer hate”
The major flaw with this album is that What’s Going On is 1st and should be the last song, but my man was so ready to stand on business to stop this war that he had to put it first. What a stunning album it’s just bliss, if you can’t smile at this please listen again and again till you do.
“I love you better now”
This is pretty much the album version of It’s a Wonderful Life if it was full of colour and banged. What a stupidly great album and solid track-list. The first half bring up great topics with intriguing concepts but the back half brings this killer tale similar to It’s a wonderful life with the character finding meaning after a near death experience
“You go back to her and I go back to, Black”
Essential! One of the most tight-nick track-lists I’ve seen. So consistent and the the themes around a broken relationships between Amy, her man, drugs, and alcohol is super gripping and told spectacularly across these classic tracks.
"Billions, Sexting Sonnets"
This whole album takes you on a grand journey through what feels like a remote holiday island. DIWTTIY brings forward ideas of repressed exploration and includes a deep dive into Caroline's relationships. I feel that we are admitted into this mind of Caroline, and we get a lot of introspection into how she is. Bunny Is a Rider - she is unavailable, out exploring; Pretty In Possible, we get thrust straight into a song that revolves around sex and ... read more
“But it’ll never be good enough like the way I want to believe it is”
I genuinely worry I’m over rating her, but I think there’s no way you can put forward this level of lyricism and detailed introspection int two characters and their relationship over such a short and consistent track list and end it off so fucking well with Waco, Texas. She’s the best without a doubt, no one will come close
“I gotta go now, I Know, I Know, I Know”
Beautiful, this album is so tender with its lyricism, the themes of a relationship and how that can affect someone especially when dealing with their own personal issues. Especially this exploration of a saviour personality type that won’t help themselves but simultaneously over shares is a nice juxtaposition to the whole album. Bangers too
There’s that second in the song where you can hear the whole world turn and I think that might have been where we peaked in life
100!!
“I forgive it all as it comes back to me”
Every so often, a person comes around whether in sport or art and they just are the best and you can’t go anything to beat them, well here are.
Yeah this album is that good, the thematic exploration of trauma and breaking a generational trauma and done so in the way this album does is second to none. Mother I Sober wishes it was Sun Bleached Flies. It’s astounding to even make an album as haunting and beautiful as this. ... read more
