Simply had no choice but to bring my rating up for this one after seeing her live in Helsinki. Hands down, the best live performance I've ever seen. Never before I've been as enchanted and stunned with my mouth open during a live show (I was high as fuck tho). It was amazing to witness brand new aspects, tones and layers which she could summon to these songs live. Her amount of charisma, style and character outrumped easily Charli XCX who perfomed a day later, feeling lame and ... read more

Didn't believe I would be rating a psytrance record over 80 or even 70 but here we are. French trance/downtempo duo Blue Planet Corporation's 1999 effort is simply ethereal with its minimal production and raw soundscape. This record totally changed by presumptive conceptions of this genre, nevermind by my limited experiences with it, pushing the boundaries of the genre into a serene, crystal-clear expression of beauty and euphory, never feeling too cheesy or cliché. Perfect ... read more

Took a long time for me to take up listening to this monumental thing because of it's runtime, but happy to say I finally found the time for it. And didn't regret one second. This was one of the most haunting, calming and captivating musical experiences I've ever experienced. Being highly minimalistic and consisting mostly of 30-minute lenght songs, I thought this was going to be quite a challenge. To my surprise this clicked immediately and somehow didn't even feel that ... read more

Already in their debut album the legendary kraut-rockers constructed a distinct sound that would eventually carry out to be one of the most influential and forward-thinking rock-music the world had ever seen. A few clumsy moments are present there and there and it's less experimental than their later works, but it's still an astoundingly cohesive and vibrant record, adding another gem to their incredible discography. It also feels very organic and psychedelic, and I absolutely love ... read more

THIS HEAT - DECEIT (my longest review yet)

"Whenever any form of government | Becomes destructive of these ends | It is the right of the people to alter or abolish it" - U.S Decleration of Independence

The doomer post-punk trio This Heat delivers anti-capitalist messages and claustrophobic anxiety about humanity's hopeless journey towards its demise, which have never been more relevant than today. Although the album primarily presents this journey as an inexorable path towards ... read more
