even though I liked the slow parts of The Wall, I don't think we needed a whole album of it
Part 2 is amazing, part 3 is eehh
this album has song good sonic moments but to be honest non of the songs stick out as a whole, and when it doesn't have those good moments it kinda just feels generic. Most of the songs kinda just blend in sonically to the point where it fades in the back and doesn't stick. I doesn't help that when the music strips back the lyrics feel kinda generic in the "Dramatic turn of events" type of way (at least the tracks that I've heard from that Dream Theater album).
