Allegaeon - Damnum

Allegaeon returns with there first album of the 2020's, DAMNUM, a more melodic side of their technical death metal sound with a strong emphasis on progressive metal, with complex riffs and technical drumming all coming together for a manic listen filled with aggression and passion and although on the technical side this album is great it doesn't necessary equate to a memorable album, it has it's moments of just embracing and striding within its chaos but i find it often gets lost it in and by the time side B starts playing it just lose more steam. A bold record but one that doesn't quite stick the full landing for me.
