This is my first Tyler album, and I gotta say, I'm pretty impressed with the creativity on display here! Rap isn't my favorite genre (FAR from it) but I have found myself really really enjoying artists like JPEGmafia and Portraits of Tracy (who was heavily inspired by Tyler!) so I was pretty interested. This is a super creative album with a lot of insane flows and lyricism on display, and while I can't say every single song here was my thing, there was a lot here that was! The production particularly is a big spotlight, every song feels really distinct and unique from one another, making a very chaotic experience to listen to, but one that feels controlled in a way that feels like it works.
That being said, the biggest issue I have with this album by far is the hidden features, which just don't really add to the album in any way. They aren't in the album *that* much, but when they are, they honestly just flop on every verse they are on (PARTICULARLY Balloon) and retract from the album. Wish they just weren't there. Beyond that, just a nice album with a lot of creativity on display!
