Okay so I hated and still do hate the opener to this album a lot, but I listened to the rest of it and it was good. At points this honestly sounds like a bunch of random songs all being jumbled into one gigantic mess of an album, again, namely on The Father And The Son And The Holy Ghost, but I think that Coltrane finds order in that chaos, a sense of control, like every piece of it is for as chaotic and messy as it may seem is all still being executed by Coltrane. I think a lot of the tracks here range in quality, so my score is sort of compensating for that. Some songs were good, some were bad, and one or two were pretty great. I really wish I had more to say about these jazz albums, I really do, but there's only so much I can say about these purely instrumental works.
