🚨 BOP ALERT 🚨

Dua Lipa didn't have to snap this hard! Future Nostalgia is a colorful and exhilirating experience as almost every songs makes you want to groove and ease your worries for a little while. The production is intricate but still manages to be very catchy. And while Dua Lipa doesn't have the most exceptional vocals, she's still able to give a powerful performance from front to back.

I remembered when I saw her winning the New Artist award for the Grammys, I admit I kind of ... read more

I've been trying his whole discography since January, but this one impressed me as his best work (slightly edging out Heavier Things).

Edge of Desire has stricken me the most because I've heard this one on the radio when I was in highschool and I was really into it but I've never found out its title. Might be my favorite Mayer song now along with Who Says.

I'm genuinely disheartened that I have to rate the EP this low. I was greatly anticipating this, but listening to it all throughout: it's just... a boring project. Even the cut produced by SOPHIE was disappointing. Though Wannabe was not bad, it was the first title track by ITZY that underwhelmed me. The vocals of the members were great (Ryujin snapped hard); my problem was mostly on the production. It'z bland.

Wow. This is really good! It actually exceeded my expectations.

The impressive thing about NCT 127 is that they are staying consistent with their craft by being distinct and somehow experimental in every comeback. Their vocals and their chemistry are already amazing without question, and they were able to pull of great performances of these songs of varied production and genres. I've had chills with Day Dream and Sit Down! the whole time.

Yes, it's not flawless, but I can say that this is one ... read more

To be honest, I wasn't that excited since I wasn't impressed with her past projects, but after listening to it, I can say color theory is a total head-turner.

The songwriting was more compelling and the evoked emotions were totally shattering. The instrumentations, which was my biggest problem on Clean, was way better on here. It's more emotional and nostalgic which impacted me a lot. It's subtle yet bold; poignant yet tasteful.

Now this was the Soccer Mommy hype I understand.

(For some reason, I suddenly want to write my short thoughts on some of these recent records here to compile them on my blog. This also grew on me a lot. Previous score: 83)

I've remembered how hyped I was in trying this album since I've randomly heard his teaser cut Become A Mountain. Like the single, Mystic Familiar was an otherworldly electronic experience; an epic listen that overwhelms you in a good way.

Trying this whole record all throughout felt like you're watching a majestic scene ... read more

I really appreciated the lyrical sentiments and sincerity that BTS have imparted in this whole record, but I was mostly disappointed with the production and most of the members' vocal performances. Even the instrumental of the title track ON sounded cluttered as hell (and Sia just made it worse). I mean, as a whole, it's not horrible, but there a lot of songs that deemed me as filler or obnoxious cuts. Meh.

I'm mostly impressed with their rap line and their dancing, but the latter doesn't ... read more

They're trying to take back the style they had from Pharmacy, but it's not working this time around. While some vocal guests and the buildups were interesting, the drops just make me roll my eyes. It's already 2020, they should trudge with something different now.

They're back, and they're fiercer than ever! This EP is their best output so far. So What is already a strong contender for my favorite Korean song this year.

What are you guys talking about??? This album is amazing!

Bombay Bicycle Club released sweet entrancing jams about the struggles of growing and finding inspiration. Their performances may have not brought anything new to the table in indie rock and pop (especially that it's now freaking 2020), but almost everything on their songs just sticks in a light-hearted manner in my opinion. It's even sounding cinematic at times.

I may be in the minority here, but I think this album is consistently ... read more

I was so hyped to try this because the teaser tracks were great. Guilty Conscience deserves a freaking chef's kiss.

Modus Vivendi turned out to be an underwhelming project though. A lot of songs sounded nice with their silky robotic production, but 070 Shake didn't really bring any memorable performances in the deep cuts. Some even turned out to be obnoxious to my ears. It was not bad but I was honestly pretty disappointed.

With his candid strides and despondent attitude, Swimming hits hard... like depressingly hard. It's a sad journal for his heartbreak and mental health for sure. Unfortunately, the sonical cohesion and Miller's hit-or-miss vocal inflections are what made this album difficult to really click with me. It's a good album with all its instropection and honesty, but not thoroughly appealing in other aspects.

This album reminded me of Robyn's Honey... and I hated that one. Fortunately, there are like two or three songs that saved from its horrid blandness.

Liked songs: About Work the Dancefloor, Never Let You Go, Ray Guns
Least liked: Started Out

Edit: Okay, it shrunk on me a day after listening to this one, but I still think it's impressive in Gomez's behalf. (previous score - 74)

I'm surprised. It's actually not that bad. She found the style that suits her in Rare and I commend her for that. Glad she abandoned those horrible EDM drops from her past songs.

Faves: Rare, Dance Again, Lose You to Love Me, Fun, Cut You Off

"lmao on those two likes from new accounts. While I agree that we all have our opinions (and the title track sounds something that NCT could kill), your review indeed really felt like a straight hate. You really made an account to shit on this album on the actual day of its release, and it indeed feels like a very low stoop, my guy."
