This was a very interesting album. Very aggressive and noisy, but also technical and even beautiful at times. The vocals were also super duper sick (as usual with screamo). This also felt very spacey at times. Great stuff right here :)
pretty damn unique and interesting power noise here. It feels kinda ambient but still very cool and harsh. Good stuff :D
this is just kinda boring bro (roll over beethoven is a banger though)
"Well she was just 17, and you know what I mean, and the way she looked was beyond compare" EXCUSE ME
Noise that's actually really beautiful and almost peaceful at times (somehow)
My favorite Hip-Hop album of all time. It deserves absolutely all the praise it gets. You have more "modest" and abstract (lyrically) tracks like Hacker and Get Got, some very aggressive and hard-hitting songs like The Fever, Punk Weight and System Blower and the kind-of more experimental and weird tracks like Fuck That and Double Helix. We also of course have the absolute classic and banger I've Seen Footage. This album has a heavy sense of Industrial music and Punk to it, and ... read more
Shit makes me feel like I'm stuck in a cave with a cult in the middle of Japan. It has some really beautiful moments too though.
not much to say here, it's just really fucking loud and hard hitting
Alright - so right here we have one of the most fascinating Rock (?????) album I have ever heard. It starts out with long, droning notes from a Hojak (a traditional korean wind instrument). Eventually you start to hear various noises and glitches come in. Soon you start to hear various shamisen notes being played. Halfway into the track you start to hear drums being played. After a while the drums fade out, and instead there are just a bunch of crazy noises being played, and then it ends. ... read more
OH BROTHER IS THIS BAD 😭 (some of the beats go kinda hard tho)
Tom Macdonald is gay
Absofuckinglutely a masterpiece. One of my favorite live albums ever. How tf could Jazz Fusion get this brutal and angry dude??? The keyboards are sick, John Zorn's sax work is insane as always, I love the guitars and the drums are phenomenal. This feels like some ritual going on in Japan in some temple on a mountain. Amazing shit dude, John Zorn is the goat
Oh hek yeah, this is some smooth shit. The G-Funk parts were so fun and groovy and the Horrorcore elements were super cool. Great album :)
This was great! Some rly cool tech death with a lot of prog metal and jazz fusion elements embedded in it. Some songs were way too fucking long though.
This is my first attempt at getting into classical music, and wow...this stuff is incredible. This has some of the best progression I've ever heard. I love the weird voices that get used as an instrument, and I love the Gamelan influence on this too. This stuff is just incredible. I will 100% check out more classical music
The first track is kinda goofy I'm not gonna lie. After that, this thing is very interesting and unique. It feels ritualistic and massive at points, but also pretty groovy at some other points. I might need to relisten to this thing to truly get everything though.
Uuuuhhhh I really don't know what to think of this. On one hand, this is arguably the most important album in No-Wave, but on the other hand , a lot of the songs are kind-of boring. I really enjoyed the songs by Contortions with the wild saxophones and sick vocals. The rest was either pretty boring, or decent. The vocals done by the vocalist of Teenage Jesus and The Jerks are absolutely not for me. Overall, it was decent enough but I don't think I'll return to this album.
