Goddamn, Slipknot fell hard with this album. How do you manage to make metal boring?
This album is a massive disappointment. Although most of their albums are pretty mixed in quality, this one has absolutely nothing that I could call one of Slipknot's best. It's all boring track after boring track.
However, the one saving grace of this album is that it does get a bit more interesting in the latter half. Unfortunately, it's not enough to save the album: the damage is done by the first 8 tracks.
Even though I knew that this would probably be their worst, I was still somehow disappointed. I honestly don't know how there are fans of Slipknot who genuinely don't think that they have a bad song, let alone album. This album is proof that they are wrong.
