Slipknot - Slipknot

I really wasn't expecting to like this album at all, let alone love it as much as I now do.
To be honest, I can see why someone wouldn't like this album. With it's hard and intense instrumentals, brutal vocals, and disturbing lyrics, this isn't meant for everyone. However, if you like metal, this is definitely the album for you.
There really isn't a bad song on here. The only track I dislike is the first one, and that's because it's just a recording of someone being repeated over and over again, and, despite it being only 36 seconds, feels like it goes on for far too long. Although I don't think there is a bad song, I do have to be honest and say that sometimes I thought I was still on the same song as I do think that the screaming does sound the same a lot of the time. However, this is contrasted with the lighter vocals at certain parts of the tracks.
To be honest, I am kinda excited to get into the rest of Slipknot's discography.
