Oh god, I just relistened to both D'yer Mak'er and The Crunge and remembered why they are both seen as the absolute worst LZ songs even including everything from In Through The Out Door and Coda. These two songs are the only reason why I think Houses Of The Holy is easily the worst of their classic releases. Everything else on that album is top-tier LZ and would have made for arguably their best release, but then they added these two monstrosities and I can't even stand the thought of returning to the album in full.
