Peggy offers us a beautiful journey, moving between rap, rock and electronic... (and even R&B), with a hint of madness and genius!
Qualities: Rap with Rock (and vice versa) rarely goes wrong.
Flaws: I wanted to hear more about the combination of Peggy x Flume.
Best: Sin Miedo, Don't Rely on Other Men, Exmilitary.
Worst: None.
It's a tragedy that the LP was released early, completely devoid of mixing and mastering, with patches everywhere, including the use of AI... Which doesn't make the tracks bad, but it makes the listening experience of the album unpleasant at first glance. Even though most of the songs were updated and corrected, the album had the potential to be more than it was.
Qualities: Ty Dolla $ign.
Flaws: Basic lyrics and all the other flaws mentioned above.
Best: Field Trip, Promotion, ... read more
Mustard on the beat was smart and took advantage of the Hype of ''Not Like Us'' to release his new album.
Qualities: The highlight of the album are outstanding feats that managed to fit perfectly into what the instrumentals proposed.
Flaws: Little variety among the instrumentals, consequently making other feats not fit so well and the album does not follow a ''parameter'' or ''script''.
Best: Pressured Up, Worth a Heartbreak, Truth ... read more
Don Toliver adopted a new identity: rocker and biker!
Qualities: A good balance between the different characteristics present on the album, mixing elements of Rock with Trap, as well as elements of Drill and R&B.
Flaws: Honestly, I couldn't find anything bad to talk about.
Best: Brother Stone, Attitude, Bandit, Glock, Ice age, New Drop, Backstreets, Deep in The Water.
Worst: Kryptonite, Hardstone National Anthem.
Gunna Wunna releases his second album after the troubled time in his life when he was imprisoned, addressing the issues he has to deal with on a daily basis.
Qualities: The beat selection is impeccable.
Flaws: A little less experimental compared to Gunna's most recent albums, and due to the amount of tracks it becomes a little tedious.
Best: One Of Wun, Let it Breath.
Worst: Neck on a Yacht.
Continuing the series of collaborative albums, Pluto and Metro release the 2nd part of the duo's 1st project, including Disc 1 and Disc 2.
Qualities: Much more experimental than Part 1, Metro, in addition to leaving his comfort zone on the Beats, also made Future leave his comfort zone on the vocals.
Flaws: It seems more like a Mixtape or a Collection of throwaways that didn't make it to the 1st Part of the album.
Best: This Sunday, All to Myself, Red Leather.
Worst: All My Life, Crossed Out, ... read more
Metro Boomin demonstrates once again that in addition to being a music producer, he is also an ARTIST. This time collaborating with Future, but without straying from their Trap footprint.
Qualities: Future and Metro Boomin form a great duo, Metro's creative productions combine very well with Pluto's melodies.
Flaws: The album becomes a little boring due to the number of tracks and the genericity of the instrumentals.
Best: Type Shit, Claustrophobic, Like That, Fried (She a Vibe), Everyday ... read more
Yung Lean and Bladee... once again the duo (who never miss) get it right, however, this time, pulling more towards Industrial Rock and leaving Trap/Rap aside a little.
Qualities: Beautiful melodies and great ambiance.
Flaws: Should have at least one feature.
Best: Ghosts, Golden God.
Worst: Still, Enemy.
ScHoolboy Q is back in the game after 5 years, maintaining quality and his own style, and, as always... he never disappoints!
Qualities: Q seems to open his heart more and more, telling us a little about his life and how he has lived all these years that he has been ''away'' from the game.
Flaws: Forgettable feats, the album needed more notable feats!
Best: THank god for me, Pig feet.
Worst: Foux, Germany 86'.
I like Yeat's unique style, but this project isn't for me.
Qualities: The best tracks are really very good.
Flaws: The album is very long, and because it is a very experimental album it becomes cloying.
Best: Power Trip, Bought The Earth, Team CEO.
Worst: Psych CEO, Nothing Changë, Riot & Set It Off, Psychocainë.
I never imagined Ye would do a collaborative album with Ty Dolla $ign, but I'm glad they did, they work really well together. The feats also fit perfectly with the album's proposal.
Qualities: Everything Kanye touches turns to gold.
Flaws: The album's lyrics could have been better.
Best: Stars, Paperwork, Burn, Fuk Sumn, Vultures, Carnival.
Worst: Talking, Hoodrat.
Kevin Gates hasn't yet decided whether he's a pervert or whether he's religious, this makes the experience of listening and understanding the album difficult. Gates has better projects.
Qualities: Gates unique as always.
Flaws: HORNY!
Best: Ceremony, Lil Yea, Heal You.
Worst: Eater, Speed Dial.
Cole Bennet takes a risk by releasing his first music album, despite being a Videomaker. It's not a bad album, but perhaps it would have been better if it had been released in 2016.
Qualities: Good feats.
Flaws: Generic and a little cloying.
Best: Guitar In My Room, Special, Doomsday, Stop Giving Me Advice.
Worst: Equilibrium, Hello There.
Fredo Bang once again puts his heart out through his music, talking about his contained anger and broken heart, however, it ends up not being so surprising.
Qualities: Real and true lyrics.
Flaws: A little repetitive, lacked more instrumental variation.
Best: Yes I'm Sad, Come Thru, Ring Ring and Not My Ho, Keep It PimpN.
Worst: Brand New AP.
K Camp stayed in his comfort zone, alternating between romantic R&B and more melodic Trap.
Qualities: Beautiful instrumentals.
Flaws: A little repetitive.
Best: Dead Wrong, Young & Free.
Worst: The Chosen One.
It's a 21 Savage-level album, not too different from what he had been presenting.
Qualities: Lots of bars and punchlines.
Flaws: Variety between the tracks, I missed the singer 21 Savage.
Best: Red Sky.
Worst: Pop Ur Shit.
It's a full plate for those who like Cudi, several experimental tracks even if they lean towards Rap, with instrumentals that are well-paced and different from the common scene. That kind of album that some love and others hate.
Qualities: Cudi is very good with the melodies and the choice of instrumentals.
Flaws: Excessive tracks and lack of punchlines.
Best: Too Damn High, Blue Sky, Tortured.
Worst: Keep Boucin', Mr. Coola.
