I'd recommend re-listening to this if you haven't in a minute. I'll admit that not everything here works, but there are plenty of moments where Rocky sticks the landing, and those serve as the best shit he's done up to this point. Also, something I saw people mention a lot over the course of the post-release rollout that may have been forgotten now: every video made for this era was fucking phenomenal, and Rocky deserves way more credit for that. ... read more

I know it wasn’t massively acclaimed, but I thought PPADS was a worthy successor to the MOTM sound, maybe more so than this. This is great in many places, but the modern trap influence is way heavier than I expected. Luckily Cudder reassembled his A-team for production, and the all the styles here blend together as naturally as they can.
