not guaranteed to stick with me down the road but guaranteed to cover $50 million in gambling debt
i like brokie, and i see what she and blckk were going for here, but a lot of this just isn't for me. normally i'm more forgiving of songs that i personally just don't vibe with, but 31 minutes of runtime doesn't leave a lot of space for that
feels fitting that the first time i give this a full spin is on its 20th anniversary, as well as on the man's birthday. the way dilla makes the most out of such short runtimes on these songs, without uttering a single word throughout the entire 43 minutes, is nothing short of masterful.
'stop' asks us the question: is death real? well, maybe in the physical sense, sure it does. with death, however, there comes rebirth. life is cyclical; circular; a loop; a donut. some lives are ... read more
white billionaire victimizes herself for 41 minutes and is not taken aback by the valid criticisms against her, but is instead proud of them and horrifically fucking obnoxious about it
incredibly bloated tracklist with mostly forgettable features, horrifically obnoxious swamp izzo ad-libs, and bland trap production. the worst sin this album commits, though? being fucking boring.
this song goes hard when you don't have a bitch in your ear complaining about the moan
nothing i can say about this album hasn't been said a billion times already. what i will say, though, is: move hell of a life in-between monster and so appalled and end the album after runaway, and you get about as perfectly ordered of an album as you could possibly get.
hearing this in the car with my mom is a core memory for me. legendary track, even if it's overplayed

- listening to your teachers
- having fun with friends
- doing homework
- doing chores
- ice cream
- gun control
- drug use/abuse
- gangbanging/gang violence
as well as having an existential crisis on track 5
kanye west used to be my favorite artist ever, point blank, period. i admittedly was super late to the kanye train, first discovering him around the release of donda when i was in highschool, before subsequently diving into his discography.
it is now four years later, and this is the second kanye west album release in less than six months that i cannot at all bring myself to care about or even remotely want to listen to. i can't even bring myself to go back to the old music that i had ... read more
while i totally understand why eminem rage-baiting on this album (which he does a lot) would turn people away from this, and i agree it got pretty repetitive, i still think the concept of this album works. there's a handful of really fun songs on here, some pretty strong emotional songs too towards the end. the first half isn't a whole lot to write home about but the album does start to pick up once fuel, houdini, and especially guilty conscience 2 hit
