I would never insinuate that Arlo Parks is a bad lyricist - she's good, on specific moments great. I only found this album utterly unremarkable. The instrumentals, (hummed) melodies, harmonies, textures... Almost all so monotonous and predictable. This feels like the latest embodiment of coffee-house music to me.
Favorite track(s): Eugene, Caroline (while not great, it's an earworm, which is a lot for this one).
Least favorite track(s): None, since they're all the damn same.
