This is genuinely the funniest meme rap song I've ever heard.
I will say that the emotion of joy resonates within me while listening because of how PURE it feels. It's just the beat and this dude yodeling. It doesn't rely too much on funny pop culture references and instead focuses on sounding as ridiculous as possible. There's something kinda punk about it, as It is not conforming to the status quo and it feels like we're hearing a person express themselves as freely as possible.

The album besides the first two tracks is fucking joyless. Empty songs that repeat at nauseum with an initially cool vocal delivery, that turns grating fast, seem to be this project's bread and butter. I check out all of Anna von Hausswolff's albums but her music did not click for me. Although her material is great, I cannot establish an emotional attachment to her songs. I cannot say what is missing for me...

well first off i’m not a lana fan, i’ve just heard some of her albums, but that one was the worst to me mainly because of the god-awful production. shit sounded like it was recorded in an ancient toilet and that vibe just did not work for me. i also don’t think she was that great a singer early on (she has definitely improved) and i just didn’t care for the songwriting at all. mainly comes down to that it simply was not for me

Glad u enjoyed it! Neoclassical darkwave is definitely a genre I like. Consequently, I am excited to listen to it soon.

Superb record. I loved it so much that I decided to rank their and Mi Ami's (They changed their name after they moved to a different town) discography. I only love "Watersports" slightly more. "Steal Your Face" is also almost up to par with their debut. I am looking forward to ur opinion about my rec.
