I for one love hearing all the recent disco-influenced pop music. It's not just about the sound for me, but the way it has become a sort of pathway to veer away from the phony "relatable" and "personal" stuff of the last decade. It's nice seeing pop artists letting the main character complex rest for a bit. That's partly why I loved the Ava Max album from earlier this year, though the fact it's packed with bops from front to end also helped.
