What else was I supposed to score this album?

It's suffice to say that Godspeed sort of... sucked for the entire last decade? Their comeback album was good, yeah, but the last two? About as mundane as post-rock can get. Not awful by any means but they just weren't invigorating like... at all. Both 'Asunder' and "Luciferian Towers" were decent in places, but from the album listening experience, they were lacking in almost everything that made their first two records so unfathomably brilliant. I'm not even ... read more

"Girls Can Tell was the Hail Mary pass that absolutely no one thought was gonna find a receiver. It was the record where the colors changed, trains collided, and suddenly we sounded a lot more like us than we’d ever sounded before... It was the record that sorted out how much fight we had left in us. It came out February 20, 2001." - Britt Daniel.

Hello friend, I hope you're having a great day! If you have any interest in participating in a list I'm making, here's the prompt:

Aliens have come down from a previously unknown planet, and touch down right in front of your house. You come outside, and they speak English somehow, but they ask you for one thing- to give them a human album. You have an MP3 player, but it only can hold one album of any length. You can give the aliens any album for any reason, but please explain why you chose the album you chose.

Thank you for answering (if you do), and have a great day!

Album covers often get a lot of attention, sometimes more than the music itself but there's one aspect to albums that is very often overlooked: the title. The title often sets the mood and energy of the album, or is memorable enough to stick with you, but seldom gets credit for doing so. Anyways, this leads into a question I have (for a list): what's your favourite album title of all time?
