Metallica - Death Magnetic

After the disaster that was St. Anger, this was definitely a hard step in the right direction. While it isn't a great album, it is at the very least a legitimately fun servicable record with some good riffs, some of James's best vocals to date and decent chorus's. It runs a little too long and lacks the punch their prime records had, but it is a more than welcome comeback for a band that was on the ropes after a disastrous record in St. Anger.
