This album is 69 songs long obviously.
The Magnetic Fields' 69 Love Songs seems like one night they had this amazing idea to just concoct together whatever creativity and lyrical work they were working on and threw it all together for one massive extravaganza of a project. Out of the three disks I would probably rank them as they are numerically, one being the best and third being the least enjoyable. Even so the least enjoyable disc is still a 7 out of 10 in my eyes. There's a ton of heart that went into 69 Love Songs and some of that nearly 3 hour tracklisting are the best songs about desire, heartbreak, lust, honesty, and realism I've heard in a long while.
