We really living in a year where Miley Cyrus put out a better 'rock' album than Green Day.
Miley started off dropping Midnight Sky which was decent, not spectacular but her most solid single in a while. Then she blew my mind with that Heart of Glass cover that I don't think anyone was really expecting. Her cover of Zombie wasn't too bad either, but in my eyes that song is kind of untouchable or permanently unrivaled.
Going into this I really had no idea what to expect or if this was a fluke, but thankfully it wasn't. I really liked Plastic Hearts. My girlfriend was coming out of the bathroom and I was like "wow this is really good!" which made her pleased since she's a big Miley fan and I'm not. I got nervous that this was gonna end up being like MGK's atrocity of an album with that opener, thankfully not.
The album isn't full of winners, but for what it's worth it's very catchy and never boring.
