Sleater-Kinney - The Woods

If you don’t think Sleater-Kinney is a top 10 act to come out of the 90s it’s time to wake up child. Surrender yourself to the catchy riffs and wailing vocals of Carrie and Corin.

No seriously, this album has so many memorable moments that it’d take a long entry to write about all of them. Let’s be honest nobody wants that. So I’ll keep it short. The Woods is a very above average album that is a transformation point for a band that really highlighted the riot grrrl era of the 90s.

They have about as many iconic openings to a song as Elephant from The White Stripes.
