While it's not the most jaw-dropping release of the year, it's very charming in its quaint and lush nature
I think I was pleasantly surprised, given how low my expectations were, by some parts in the first half of the album. However, as it went on, songs like Cancelled and their lyrics really started to get to me. Taylor's worst work lyrically, for sure, even if the at times good production helped me recover my the antonoff fatigue.
Whenever there's a magdalena bay release I will be getting chills listening to it
Unbelievable combination of everything that made 3D country and Heavy Metal so great. So much personality and creativity.
There are so many great moments on this but it's a bit too scattered for my tastes
i don't care if something is derivative when it's executed this unbelievably well and mixes genres phenomenally.
It feels unfair to compare this to the Forever Story, but almost the entire time I wished I was listening to that. While this is solid, generally more laid back rap album, it's a far cry from the energy, captivating stories, crazy good flows, beat switches, and overall entertainment of his 2022 release.
