PART 6 of disovering the French emo scene cause im french and i like emo
EP recommended by a friend, and its very pleasing to see that there's still some french group in the curent scene. instrumentaly wise, this EP was realy great but some songs have kinda corny vocals and lyrics and it lowered a little my appreciation for this project

PART 5 of disovering the French emo scene cause im french and i like emo
Realy surprised with this EP, this blends spoken words, screamo and even blackgaze on the second half, and does it amazingly. Even tho im French im barely understanding any lyrics, but thats kinda usual with sreamo. Bonus point for the name of the band who's super sick.

Like the first one of this serie, this albums was recommended by a reddit user. And damn, thats some realy good post-hardcore, i heard that they opened for Deafheaven, and its no surprise that a band as legendary as them would invite Birds in a row. This album reminds me a lot of La Dispute or Touché Amoré style of post-hardcore, and it holds up to their names.

seems to be an unpopular opinion but wow, what an unbearable voice. and dont get me wrong, i like raw vocals and especialy from female vocalist (the lazarus pot, jejune, everyone asked about you or first day back), but for some reason, her voice pisses me off so much. didn't like the riffs too, most of them sounded as off-tone as the singer voice. overall, kinda ass
i got interessed in this band cause i was panning to see Alcest on their upcoming tour and i saw that they are the openers. And damn, lets just say that now i am as hyped to see them than to see Alcest live. I'm realy into post-rock, and this is actualy some very strong post rock material, i loved this album
PART 2 of disovering the French emo scene cause im french and i like emo
I don't remember how i discover this group, i think it was via a local radio station. Anyways, i was listening to Model for a long times and i realy liked this song, so today when it came back randomly on my shuffled listening of my liked tracks, i decided to give this album a try.
This album is enjoyable, but does not hit as hard as the track Model. Some other songs on here are pretty cool. Its still really cool to ... read more

Recommended by a random reddit user (just like most of the albums im going to review on this serie), this album was enjoyable. Cool emo from Lyon, cool riffs, great songs, some forgetable other songs. Loved the long outro, realy fuzzy. You can feel the strong punk influence, which make sense since france has a realy solid punk scene.
despite being a sucker for screamo and 2nd wave type emo, this just doesnt realy click with me. not a fan of the lead singer scream, and most of the songs are kinda forgetable. i still love the energy given by this group, and the lyrics are great, you can feel this come from the deepest part of them.
As a Deftones fan that did not realy like the last two album, this feels like an amazing comeback single. this give me high expectations for the album, im realy hyped
realy cool math rock album from a small french band i had the pleasure to saw live
after seeing her live twice, i can confirm that this is for sure my favorite album of 2025, unmatchable energy delivered
