was fun to hear kevin parker in the mix but this as an album is really weak and that's such a shame and sad to see. the singles had built quite some hype in me, especially because i LOVED future nostalgia so much!
shoutout my friend in the band, really solid ep and looking forward to the album!! (need to play more live shows)
some extremely catchy tunes on this sophomore album from femme-punk quartet Sticky Baby
Can't recommend this enough! With fun lyrics, brutal vocals and heavy riffs; this EP offers a fun and unique experience. Having seen this band live multiple times in the past year I have been counting down until this release!
Watch out for future releases from this explosive and fun quartet based in Stockholm, Sweden! This debut EP has been highly anticipated amongst their very cool fan base.
Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock, MX vs ATV Alive, WWE SvR 2007... So many memories..
An album where sounds of Death From Above 1979 and Osees meet. With completely crushed and distorted guitar melodies accompanied by catchy, and almost as distorted vocal hooks, this PPC release has to be one of my faves as I was jamming hard to this album in the latter half of 2023.
Jacob really captured the sound 2010s indies in one album. Therefore making the album feel more nostalgic than new. The pro's with this is that it feels instantly familiar and the con's is that it sounds instantly familiar. While I really enjoy this familiar indie sound I wouldn't have any problems with Jacob trying to create a more fresh sound with his insanely catchy chorus writing.
Only thing that drags this song down is Tracy's verse, idk but I just can't stand it :/
Loïc Nottet really shines when he sings in his native tongue therefore the highlight of this pretty bloated pop record is the closer.
I get little to no enjoyment from this album. I really don't get why people like this. If I want a good indie pop record I can listen to like Torches by Foster The People, a way better album.
Wish she'd lean more into the hyperpop sound. This record sounds like Rebecca wants to do hyperpop but also want a shot in the charts as it would show people that she's more than the decade old friday meme. I was really rooting for her on this album but sadly the entire thing is mostly her shifting in this weird in-between state of hyperpop and 20's radio-pop.
Even though this record was a bit of a bummer I still have my hopes up for Rebecca to show us what she's really artistically capable of, ... read more
Only thing holding this back from being a 100 is the fact that it's a live recording. Don't get me wrong it's a wonderful live recording but I think a lot of the albums more climactic moments would've hit harder if recorded in a studio and mixed like a studio album. With that said I am still very satisfied with this live record release.
This album really serves as a flex in my eyes. BabyTron is just showing off that he is really good at writing bars. This projects biggest flaw is it's length, truly a fat mixtape. I'd say we still have to wait for BabyTron to drop his magnum opus. With that said, I have no problems with him throwing these flexes on us to show that he is indeed skilled at his craft.
